Following the global rollout of Android Pie for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, it was only a matter of time before other carriers in the US followed suit. Xfinity somehow managed to beat the ‘big four’ this time by around by being the first carrier to update their devices with Android Pie, followed by Verizon. Today, Sprint joints the list as several users have confirmed that they’re receiving the much-awaited OneUI-based Android Pie update on their Samsung Galaxy S9++. That leaves only T Mobile and AT&T, who should hop on the bandwagon in the coming days.

The carrier is rolling out firmware version G960USQU3CSAB for the Galaxy S9 on its network. The update weighs in at a hefty 1.5GB and comes with all the standard Android Pie features along with the January security patch. OneUI completely reimagines how a user interacts with their device and brings about a significant amount of QoL changes ranging from a system-wide Dark Theme to a new look for several apps such as Samsung Messages. Head over to Settings>> Software Update>> Download Manually on your device to manually trigger the update if you haven’t received it yet.
