SAN FRANCISCO — Saying Google is retaliating against employees, workers at its San Francisco office demanded that the company reinstate two suspended colleagues during a Friday rally “to save Google’s open culture.”

About 250 to 300 people gathered outside the tech giant’s office along the Embarcadero in support of the Googlers. One of the rally’s leaders, Amr Gaber, estimated that about half of those in attendance were Google workers. The rest were community organizers and nearby companies’ workers.
