The wait it almost over — Tesla is about to make its long-awaited entry into the pickup truck market.

Thursday night, in Los Angeles, Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk will go on stage and show off the electric carmaker’s first pickup truck, or, what Musk has called the “Cybertruck,” making the electric vehicle a player not just in the markets for sedans and SUVs, but also in the highly competitive U.S. pickup truck market, where the new car will be up against popular models like the Ford F-150 and Dodge Ram 1500.
