Americans have wasted little time getting into the traditional Thanksgiving/Black Friday shopping season, and even more spending is expected when so-called Cyber Monday deals start to kick in.
That’s the conclusion reached by Adobe Analytics, a division of San Jose-based Adobe, which predicts and tracks the spending habits and trends of consumers. While many Americans spent Thanksgiving Day feasting and watching football on TV, Adobe Analytics said people also found a way to spend $2.1 billion shopping online by Thursday afternoon, or 20.2% more than they spent over the same time a year ago.
