So much time had passed that Karen Stitt’s father died never knowing. Her older sister died never knowing.
But last week, her aunt received a call from Sunnyvale police Det. Matt Hutchison. He had traveled to the Hawaiian island of Maui and just arrested a man he believes abducted Karen from a bus stop on the El Camino Real when she was just 15, then brutally killed her.
