Los Gatos’ popular Promenades ended a week early after funds for the summer block party ran out, forcing the Chamber of Commerce to cancel the event scheduled for Aug. 4.

Los Gatos Town Council required more security and a new alcohol management strategy this year to limit underage drinking and overall alcohol consumption, which caused the event to go over budget, Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Catherine Somers said.
