SAN JOSE — Plans to develop hundreds of affordable homes in San Jose are pushing ahead with a property purchase for the site of a shuttered and once-popular restaurant.

Jemcor Development Partners, acting through an affiliate, has paid slightly under $10.6 million for a 1.9-acre site at 1007 Blossom Hill Road in south San Jose, according to documents filed on July 27 with the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office.
