As the pandemic continues to change how we live and work, broadband access has been expanding steadily as Californians pursue remote or hybrid work, school and essential services such as telehealth.

But major gaps remain. Connectivity lags in rural, tribal and low-income communities. People of color and those over 65 are less likely to report in-home broadband service, as are homes headed by non-college graduates.
