MONTEREY — The Monterey Bay Aquarium stepped into a new partnership with a company that has made the world’s first fully-biodegradable sneaker with a portion of the proceeds of each sale going to support the aquarium’s mission.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Blueview, the world’s first biodegradable sneaker,” said Claudia Pineda Tibbs, sustainability program manager for the Monterey Bay Aquarium, in an email.
