The San Jose Sharks will name Mike Grier as their next general manager, ESPN’s Kevin Weekes reported late Monday.

The Sharks would not confirm Grier’s hire but are ready to announce their choice at SAP Center in San Jose on Tuesday at 11 a.m. (PT). Grier, 47, will be the National Hockey League’s first Black general manager.
