A Santa Cruz home built in 1898 that has stayed in the same family for more than a century has hit the market for $7.895 million.

The house, which is located near the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, is owned by the Rittenhouse family and was renovated in 1935. Modern fixtures were installed, but the house maintained period details such as a slate roof and a stone fireplace.
