SAN JOSE — A Japan-based semiconductor and electronics company has floated a plan to expand its San Jose tech campus with a big new building, according to documents on file with city planners.

Renesas Electronics has proposed the development of a new building at the company’s south San Jose campus at 6027 Silver Creek Valley Road.
