SAN JOSE — A site where nearly 100 homes could be built near downtown San Jose has been bought by a development firm that specializes in affordable housing.

Milestone Housing Group, acting through an affiliate, has bought two parcels near the corner of East Santa Clara Street and South 20th Street in San Jose, according to public property records.
