SAN JOSE — A residential development of hundreds of homes could rise next to North San Jose’s tech parks on the site of a decades-old office building, according to a very preliminary proposal on file with city planners.

SummerHill Homes is eyeing the development of 329 residential units at 210 Baypointe Parkway between East Tasman Drive and Zanker Road, the city files show.
