MOUNTAIN VIEW – South Bay authorities on Friday were investigating the death of a Los Altos High School student and the possibility it was related to fentanyl poisoning.

Few details were immediately available. In a letter to the school community, the Mountain View Police Department said its investigation was in the “very early stages.”
