Affordable housing projects in Santa Clara, San Jose and Morgan Hill were unanimously approved on Tuesday by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, marking yet another round of development that the county continues to charge ahead with as it aims to tackle the region’s acute housing crisis.
The four projects — two in San Jose and one each in Santa Clara and Morgan Hill — will create 324 units of housing for a variety of residents, including agricultural workers, homeless seniors, those with developmental disabilities and low-income residents who make below the area median income. The projects will be paid in part through approximately $20 million of Measure A money.
