SAN JOSE — Authorities have identified a woman who died from her injuries after she was hit by a motorist as she was walking across McLaughlin Avenue over the weekend, according to police.

The crash was reported at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday. The driver of a 2015 Nissan Rogue SUV was traveling southbound and hit a woman — identified as 76-year-old San Jose resident Mai Thi Nguyen — as she was crossing the street near Idlewood Drive, according to police.
