Powerful winds whipped the Bay Area on Tuesday morning, a preview of sorts for what the National Weather Service said will be another day of dangerous weather around the region.

Wind gusts exceeded 70 mph overnight in Los Gatos and the San Francisco International Airport recorded a gust of 69 mph. The weather service said they had seen lightning strikes and that even funnel clouds or tornadoes might be seen as the storm migrates toward the Sierra.
