SAN JOSE — Roku, a streaming giant, has disclosed plans to jettison hundreds of employees — including scores in San Jose — a decision that widens the increasingly painful job cuts that have jolted the Bay Area’s tech sector.
An estimated 93 Roku workers employed at Roku’s headquarters complex on Coleman Avenue in San Jose near the city’s airport will lose their jobs, part of a cutback of 200 workers being orchestrated by the tech company, according to state and federal regulatory filings.
