If you’ve missed seeing thousands of people sweating their jingle bells off while running through downtown San Jose dressed in Santa Clara suits, this is your lucky day. The Santa Run Silicon Valley is returning Dec. 11 in-person for the first time since 2019.

The 5K run/walk was launched in 2012 as a fundraiser for Christmas in the Park and the Downtown Ice skating rink. This year, the beneficiary is SJ Aspires, the initiative started by San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo in 2021 to support first-generation high school students in preparation for college.
