WATSONVILLE — Visitors from around the county and beyond on Saturday flocked to the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville to enjoy spectacles such as “Twinkle Time” and the magic of captain Jack Spareribs, carnival rides, unusual collections, pig races, livestock auctions, equestrian competitions and fair food classics such as corn dogs, turkey legs, kettle corn and other more unconventional fares.
“The fair is just a great community gathering, and it’s always family-friendly,” said Caitlyn Blackstormof Santa Cruz who’d visited the fair every day since Wednesday. “And the cinnamon rolls are so good. They are the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had.”
