A fire in Moss Landing forced a temporary Highway 1 closure along an approximately 6-mile stretch from Portero Road to Salinas Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fire was reported to be at a PG&E facility in the area, according to a Caltrans District 5 tweet. Officials from PG&E could not be reached immediately.
