Sun began to peek through Bay Area clouds Wednesday afternoon, and damp lawns started to dry as a high-pressure system began to enter the region right behind winter-like low pressure that ushered in the end of summer with rain.
Temperatures will begin to get warmer as the weekend approaches, weather forecasters said Wednesday. The thermometer will get as high as the low 90s by Sunday.
