SAN JOSE – The San Jose police and fire departments on Wednesday night were scheduled to hold an active shooter training exercise at the Westfield Valley Fair Mall.

The exercise will take place overnight while the mall is closed and will involve a large contingent of police and fire personnel, according to a spokesman for the San Jose Police Department.
