In California, 44% of Republicans likely to vote in next year’s March presidential primary support Donald Trump, according to a new poll from the Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies.

Just 26% backed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who only three months ago edged out the former president 37% to 29%.
