A wind gust of 97 mph was recorded Tuesday on Mount Umunhum, and at least a dozen other Bay Area sites reported gusts of 70 or higher.

The highest readings from the National Weather Service included 93 mph on a ridge above Mines Road, near Livermore, and 88 near Blackberry Hill Road, above Los Gatos.
