If you thought you saw a pack of animated wolves running along the front of buildings in downtown Palo Alto this week, you weren’t hallucinating. It’s “Wolves,” a project by San Jose artist Lucidbeaming, which will happen nightly through Saturday in different locations in the city.

The images of the wolf pack are projected from the back of his cargo bike, which he’ll pedal on a designated route. “Wolves” is being funded by the Palo Alto Public Art Program’s Artlift microgrant program, and Palo Alto Public Art Director Elise DeMarzo says it serves to celebrate our increasing freedom as COVID-19 restrictions are slowly being lifted.
