DUBLIN — Two city residents, a man and a woman, have been arrested in the killing of Alexander Mark Antonyyo Jr., the popular Bay Area rapper known as Lil Yase, authorities said.

Jovante Williams and Angel Butler, both 28, were arrested Tuesday on a murder warrant, police said. Alameda County prosecutors will decide whether to charge one or both of them on Thursday. The suspected motive is apparently personal, not something related to Antonyyo’s public persona; police say he was romantically involved with Butler, who was also dating Williams.
