For the second consecutive year, Burning Man organizers have pulled the plug on the big in-person event in the Nevada desert due to concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic.
That means that thousands of Burning Man enthusiasts won’t be joyously descending on the pop-up Black Rock City venue — located in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada’s Pershing County, about 100 miles north of Reno — in late August as originally planned. Instead, organizers announced on Tuesday that they are setting their sites on a return to the desert in 2022.
