SAN JOSE — A shooting and a stabbing that put three people in the hospital in separate incidents Saturday night were being investigated by San Jose police.

The shooting happened at about 9:46 p.m. in the 3000 block of Cadillac Avenue. Police say they found one victim with life-threatening injuries, but his condition was later upgraded to stable. No suspect or motive has been determined, police said.
