For decades, the Harvest Festival signaled the start of the holiday shopping season for many Bay Area residents — until 2020, when COVID-19 canceled most indoor arts-and-crafts shopping or moved them outdoors.

This year the festival returns to the San Mateo County Event Center — with more than 100 vendors — from Friday, Nov. 12, through Sunday, Nov. 14. The 2021 schedule kicked off in August in Pleasanton.
