Many Bay Area restaurants will honor active and retired members of the U.S. military with a free entree, appetizer or other dining discount on Veterans Day, this Thursday, Nov. 11.

In most cases, you must show a valid government/military ID when ordering or picking up your order; some restaurants will accept photos or other proof. Some offers apply to reservists, but it’s best to check first. It’s also a good idea to call ahead and make sure your local restaurant location is participating in the promotion this year.
