ANDERSON, Calif. — The fight against the fast-moving Fawn Fire continued Friday with crews increasing containment to 10%, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

The fire covered 6,820 acres as of 7 p.m.; it has leveled at least 100 structures and forced the evacuation of 1,950 residents. Some 9,000 structures remain threatened.
