UNION CITY — Fortinet, which has been buying an array of properties near its Sunnyvale headquarters, has begun to grab an East Bay foothold by collecting several Union City sites.

The tech cybersecurity company has bought three properties over five years in Union City, spending at least $36 million in a trio of transactions, Alameda County public records show.
