There’s a lot happening at River Islands in Lathrop this fall, including preview showings and grand openings of a number of new-home neighborhoods. Given the popularity of the master-planned community, there are always new neighborhoods in the design and building phases as other successful neighborhoods are completed. The community enjoys a location along the shores of the San Joaquin River, and has been beautifully designed with lakes, parks, and trails. It has established its own charter school system, the River Islands Academies, with two K-8 campuses open today, a third now under construction for the fall 2022 school year and a high school whose first phase will open in 2023.
