Park Station Hashery on the corner of Naglee and Park avenues in San Jose has been a big supporter of the volunteer work at the Municipal Rose Garden a few blocks away. So when the staff at the eatery heard that the sundial in the park had been vandalized, they jumped at the chance to help.

General Manager Dale Swanson recently delivered a new sundial to Terrence Reilly of Friends of the San Jose Rose Garden, who had it installed on its pedestal in no time at all. Reilly said he and other members plan to repay the generosity by turning out for Park Station’s fifth anniversary party on Sept. 10.
