SAN JOSE – A girl killed in a bicycle crash over the weekend in San Jose has been identified as Jesela Vargas, 13, of San Jose, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.

Jesela was riding a bicycle downhill on Valroy Drive at 3 p.m. Saturday when she lost control and hit a raised curb at Curie Drive, the San Jose Police Department said in a statement. She was thrown from the bicycle and hit a concrete retaining wall.
