SAN JOSE — A driver in a red SUV hit and killed a woman walking on Tully Road, then fled the area early Friday, according to San Jose police.

The deadly collision was reported at 1:39 a.m. on eastbound Tully near La Ragione Avenue and the Tully Community Branch Library. Police say the woman was walking between crosswalks when she was hit by a red early-2000s model SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe.
