A man died early Tuesday morning after a fire broke out in an East San Jose house, fire officials said.

Fire personnel responded to the 2000 block of Estate View Way at about 1:05 a.m. after calls that smoke was coming from a home, San Jose Fire spokeswoman Erica Ray said. Crews saw smoke when they arrived, and later saw flames, she said.
