As the COVID-19 delta variant surges, an increasing number of Bay Area bars and restaurants are requiring proof of vaccination from their indoor customers. The movement got a boost when the San Francisco Bar Owners Alliance, which represents 300 businesses in the city, announced that, starting Thursday, patrons must either show that they’d been inoculated or submit a negative COVID test result.
