SAN JOSE — A huge tech campus that would bring north San Jose nearly 2 million square feet of new offices and bulldoze a shuttered Fry’s Electronics store faces a major step in the city review process.

The new campus would sprout at 550 E. Brokaw Road, which for numerous years served as the corporate headquarters of Fry’s Electronics and most visibly, a Fry’s superstore with a theme akin to a Mayan temple.
