Interstate 580 reopened Saturday afternoon after a closure that began with a pickup truck crashing onto BART tracks and a subsequent bomb squad investigation of a suspicious device in a vehicle at Eden Canyon Road.

Police activity caused BART service to shut down more than once Saturday in what has become a nightmare for people traveling between Castro Valley and Dublin.
