The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended booster shots Tuesday for those who received Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine five months after their first shots, a month earlier than had been called for since last fall.
The CDC’s recommended shorter interval between primary and booster shots for the Pfizer vaccine follows authorization approved Monday by the Food and Drug Administration.
