SAN JOSE — A downtown San Jose tower could offer a new approach to housing through an alliance of an upstart residential company and a busy local developer.

Nabr, a housing company that says it’s geared towards consumers, has teamed up with local developers Gary Dillabough and Jeff Arrillaga to launch an apartment tower in downtown San Jose’s hip and trendy SoFA district.
