SALINAS – Prosecutors on Friday charged a 52-year-old man with nine felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a spate of projectile attacks on Monterey County highways.

The California Highway Patrol arrested Charles Kenneth Lafferty in Nipomo, in San Luis Obispo County, on Wednesday.
