A magnitude 3.0 earthquake rattled through Gilroy early Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake was recorded around 1:37 a.m. and was centered around 3 miles south-southwest of Gilroy and about 12 miles south-southeast of Morgan Hill, USGS said.
