Facebook and Instagram are going to crack down even harder on the promotion of vaping and tobacco products and guns on the two social-media platforms.

On Wednesday, Facebook and Instagram said that so-called “influencers” will no longer be allowed to run branded content that promotes vaping, or e-cigarettes, any kind of tobacco product, or firearms, thus closing what had been a loophole in Facebook’s advertising policies.
