Four former Google workers announced Tuesday that they will file a federal labor complaint accusing the tech giant of firing them because they organized and spoke up about various causes.

Laurence Berland, Sophie Waldman, Rebecca Rivers and Paul Duke were fired last week for what Google says was their violation of its data security policies. The firings came days after a protest in support of Berland and Rivers — who had been placed on leave — at Google’s San Francisco offices, which was attended by a couple of hundred people.
