An Atherton mother said to have gloated with her daughter over SAT cheating and her financier husband were among a wave of parents to plead guilty Monday after fighting charges for months in the nationwide college admissions scandal.

Elizabeth Henriquez, 56, entered her plea after her husband, Manuel Henriquez, 55, a co-founder of Hercules Capital who stepped aside as chairman and chief executive after being charged in the case. He had agreed last week to plead guilty but she didn’t announce her decision until Monday. She is to be sentenced Feb. 7 and her husband on March 5.
