Landing that first job out of college can be stressful. From knowing what to put on your resume to figuring out what to wear, many fresh college grads feel unprepared to launch their careers. The intimidation factor is high, and moving to a new city to find a gig can complicate matters more.

That’s one reason WalletHub has assembled a national ranking of which cities may be the best launching pad for your job search. It should come as no surprise that less trendy (and less expensive) cities such as Salt Lake City and Pittsburgh nabbed the top spots in this national ranking of places to get your feet wet. However, two Bay Area cities did crack the top 25 out of 182 cities, San Francisco and San Jose. In the Bay Area, it’s likely the high-tech engine that’s driving this bounty of entry-level job openings.
